The origins of the building housing this 'beseda' (gathering place) date back to the late 1480s although the building as it appears today dates from 1660s. It was the seat of the town hall of Malá Strana as well as a a fiscal office, a tax archive and a political prison. It has been a cultural centre since 1868 and a Fringe venue since 2011.

Approx 2-3cm raised stone step in venue door-frame and into bar area. Ground floor toilet (not wheelchair accessible). Venue is located on a steep, cobbled hill without public transport.

History:
This small theatre is housed in the building where Edward Kelly set up his alchemy lab for Rudolf II in the 1500s. Shakespeare is rumoured to have stayed here. The Museum of Alchemists has been a Fringe venue since 2015 (with a break in 2016 & 2017 for renovation).

Step free main entrance/reception area. Small staircase (5-10 steps) down into bar/box office area. Further small steps leading to performance space which is accessed via a separate steep staircase (20 steps) with handles. Venue is located on a steep hill without public transport.

History:
Golden Key is in the basement of a boutique hotel on the main route from Malá Strana to the castle. Hotel Golden Key is part of the Asten Hotels group which sponsors the Fringe by accommodating four of its staff at no cost. This will the be the fourth year of our collaboration. The performance space is located in the 15th Century cellar of the building which had never been used for performances before Fringe created the theatre in 2016.

The building is located where the moat surrounding the castle originally would have been. Typical to Prague this Renaissance building has a Baroque facade. The prominent house signs on this street are a quintessential Baroque feature which pre-date house numbers, look out for the golden key.

History:
Housed in a cellar of the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, the space opened in 2000 as a theatre to host performances of the music students. The stunning Lichtenstein Palace was build in the 1590s, converted from a number of renaissance town houses and aristocratic residences.    Its look today dates from the 1790s after a major reconstruction where the buildings were unified by one single facade. There are 27 bollards decorated with heads along the front of the building commemorating the 27 men that the Lichtenstein family had executed in 1621. Divadlo Inspirace has been a Fringe venue since 2007.

History:
The longest running Prague Fringe space - it has been a Fringe venue since the 2nd year of Fringe in 2003. Located, in what was for decades a coal cellar, A Studio Rubín has been running as an underground (literally) performance space since 1967 with only a brief break in programming after the Communist regime closed it down. Reopening with red tones to its name, it was allowed to continue. The building 'The House at the Three Crowns' dates from the 1460s and was originally a hospital.

Cafe/bar area and box office and toilet on the ground floor is step-free. The performance space in the cellar is accessed via approx 20 steep, spiral steps, with handrail.

History:
This newly renovated space is located in the baroque vaulted cellar of the Queen Bee House (U Včelí královny) still owned (now for over 300 years) by the Demartini family. The building was located in the Bishop's apiary hence the name. In the late 1700s Johan Demartini manufactured soaps and perfumes here (when the adjacent two buildings were joined together) and in the early 1800s it was the only building in Malá Strana to have an industrial chimney (still standing today). The Demartini's were exclusive suppliers of perfumes to the imperial court in Vienna till 1918. Café Club Míšeňská has been a Fringe venue since 2017.

There is one small step at the main entrance (wheelchair ramp available). Inside there is a wheelchair lift (up approx 20 steps) to the bar area and performance space which has a step-free entrance. The toilet is not wheelchair accessible (up a further 20 steps on the 2nd floor).

History:
This space, housed in a pre-1800s villa in the grounds of SOKOL (Czech Gymnastic Organisation) has been operating as a theatre since the 1800s and sits on the edge of the Čertovka (Devil's Stream) looking across to Kampa Park. The building also housed a spa. Divadlo Kampa has been a Fringe venue since 2004.
